Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir is located in the heart of the Kashmir valley at an altitude of 1,730 m above sea level. Spread on both sides of the river Jhelum the city is famous for its natural beauty, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats. Srinagar is called the city of lakes and the Venice of the East, fascinating tourists for centuries with its beautiful picturesque Himalayan backdrop, glittering lakes that are surrounded by houseboats and Shikaras and the majesty of Mughal architecture. The very absence of order in the location of the houses and their tumbled-down appearance add a peculiar charm to the scenery. It has its own quaint lifestyle, telling a panoramic fairytale tour through the snow-capped mountains and Chinar trees while enjoying the adventurous pleasures of hiking, mountain biking, and rafting. The city is also famous for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruits.The word Sonamarg literally translates into ‘the land of gold’. Sonamarg is one of the most beautiful places in the entire country and represents a spectacular facet of the countryside in Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 2730 m, one can see beautiful snowy mountains as its backdrop. The Sindh River that meanders through the splendid valley is a sight to behold. One can hire ponies to trip up to the Thajiwas Glacier. The Thajiwas glacier is situated at an altitude of 9,186 feet and is a major tourist attraction. Sonamarg is a striking silvery scene set against emerald meadows and blue sky.Gulmarg is one of India’s premier hill resorts and India’s premier ski resort in winter. Here one can have a breathtaking view of the 8137 mts high Nanga Parbat, the fifth highest peak in the world. it’s an ideal site for long runs, off-piste skiing and snowboarding. Skiing and snowboarding in Gulmarg, through its natural virgin slopes, provides for easy floating on the soft virgin snow.Pahalgam is situated at an altitude of 2,130 m, Surrounded by beautiful hills and lots of greenery.The climate is not too harsh and the sight of the stunning Lidder River flowing through the town is beautiful. Pahalgam is situated at the junction of the Aru and Sheshnag Rivers and surrounded by tall fir-covered mountains and snow-clad peaks forming a spectacular sight.

After breakfast check out the houseboats and Drive to Sonamarg and a full-day excursion of Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. Sonmarg also called Meadow of Gold is located at a height of 2690 meters.
You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains around the year. Return to Srinagar, Check in Hotel, and Overnight stay in Hotel.
After Breakfast transfer to Gulmarg called “Meadow of Flowers”. Gulmarg is 52 Kms from Srinagar at an altitude of 8700-ft. Gulmarg also referred to as Meadow of Flowers is a famous Ski Resort & the world’s highest 18-hole Golf Course. The place was prominent during the British time. You can enjoy a Pony ride (Optional At your own cost).
Enjoy the scenic view of Kongdori (12,293 ft) first stage and Affarwat Peak (13,780 ft) second Stage on a Cable Car Ride (Optional At your own cost). By evening return to Srinagar. In the Evening enjoy a Shikara Ride in Dal Lake and witness the ride on the lake, called Venice of India & experience the aquatic life of Srinagar. Also, see the scenic extravaganza of Kashmir and enjoy the profusion of colours in Paradise on Earth. While returning visit the local crafts market and see the fine carved hand-made articles from Paper Machine & wood of a walnut. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
In the early Morning after breakfast check out Hotel, and Visit Aru Valley, Betab Valley and Chandanwari Sightseeing, after sightseeing back to Srinagar.
Aru Valley
Aru Valley is a small yet self-sufficient scenic village located 12 km from Pahalgam. The drive up to the village is alluring too. The location of the village among the grasslands makes this place a tourist delight. It is reachable by walking along a mountain path. The village also serves as the start point for trekking to the Kolahoi glacier. Another long trek for the serious trekker is to Sonmarg, which can be covered in 3 days! Besides, the valley is also known to be a good site for camping. Instead of taking the regular pony ride, it is recommended that tourists explore the surrounding valley on foot to get a full sense of its beauty. Betaab Valley Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed as a major part of the movie was shot here. Set amid picture-perfect environs complete with snowcapped mountains, gurgling streams, colourful willow trees & the warm sun; making it an ideal for an artist’s canvas! The valley is a walkable distance from Pahalgam. The crystal clear & chilly water of the stream bubbling down from the snowy hills is a delight; locals here drink this water too. Baisaran and Tulian Lake are a few nearby attractions that can be visited. Chandanwari Pahalgam to Chandanwari is easily accessible by taxi. From Chandanwari, pilgrims need to continue their Yatra on foot or pony, which will take at least 2 days to reach the cave and back, with an overnight stay in either Shishnag or Panchtarni.
