The Sivagiri Mutt was established by the great religious reformer and philosopher Sree Narayana Guru (1856 – 1928), the ‘Mutt’ encloses the ‘Samadhi’ (the final resting place) of the Guru, which attracts thousands of devotees every year during the Sivagiri Pilgrimage days that start from 30th December to 1st January. On arrival at Trivandrum Airport or Railway station, our representative will meet and drive you to Trivandrum, 45 Kilometers from Trivandrum. Varkala is an ideal place to relax…or one can say, it is meant only for relaxing! After breakfast, check out and proceed to Kovalam beach. Kovalam is known as the “Paradise of the South”. Visit the crescent-shaped beaches of Kovalam i.e. Samudra Beach, Hawa Beach & Lighthouse Beach. With a high rock promontory and a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise creates a unique aquarelle on moonlight nights. Overnight stay at Kovalam Hotel/Resort.
After breakfast, Proceed to Poovar Island. Poovar is a beautiful village embraced by a lovely beach on one side and the backwaters on the other and is very popular for its picturesque beauty and serene environment. After breakfast proceeds for the full day sightseeing of Trivandrum. The temple of Anantha, the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple is the most religious icon of the city. Other sightseeing places are Trivandrum Zoo, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, Veli Tourist Village and Shangumugham Beach where one can watch the amazing sunset.
