Tour Plan

Once you arrive in Kozhikode, at the railway station, or at the Kozhikode airport, our guide will escort you to Wayanad. There, you will check into the Pre-booked hotel, get fresh, and have breakfast. Once you are ready to travel, we will take you for a sightseeing session at the Banasura Sagar Dam. It is noted to be the largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia. So, why not start off from such a breathtaking spot? Later on, we can begin the small hikes across the surrounding scenic mountains. After the hikes, tread over to the gurgling waters of Pookote Lake. This is a freshwater lake that strategically flows across the lush forests. For artists, grab your pens, and canvas to capture this scenic view. It flows across mountain slopes at an altitude of 770 meters above sea level. By early sunset, we will take you to the Lakkidi View Point. It is considered the iconic getaway point of Wayanad. From here, enjoy the view of the serpentine routes at the Thamarassery Ghat Pass and the magnetic hairpin curves of the location. Since Lakkidi is at the crest of the Pass, everything can be viewed easily. After that, we can descend and move to the hotel, where you get to have dinner and the rest of the night.
On the second day, after breakfast at the hotel, the sightseeing session will be planned at the Kuruva Islands. These are small, isolated islands that are located on tributaries of River Kabani. A must-visit place is the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary and if you are lucky, you will get to click a few wild elephants going on their usual strolls. Apart from that, the forests are home to bison, deer, tigers, monkeys, giant squirrels, leopards, and a range of other animals. Pay a visit to the famous Thirunalli Temple (one of the most ancient temples in India), as it is known to yield good results for one's prayers. People take part in rituals that enrich and guide their lives right from birth to the last day of life. Mythology reveals that the temple was the holy place where the Prathishta of Lord Vishnu was performed by Lord Brahma. The religious local folks also refer to the place as the ”Sahyamala Kshetram” and ”Kashi of the South”. Get your chance to get embalmed with the divine vibes that linger in the temple. Last, you should have a glimpse of the famous Pazhashy's Tomb, a venue of the historical triumph of a leader who fought for Kerala.
After a good night's rest, on Day 3, enjoy breakfast, and let's head off the Chembra Peak. Climb up one of the highest peaks in Wayanad, and take your puff of fresh air. As you reach the peak (approximately 4 kilometres), be in awe to find a heart-shaped lake. This happens to be a hot tourist attraction for people around the world. Then we will be moving on, to the Soochippara Waterfalls, a naturally created three-tiered waterfall surrounded by Deciduous, Evergreen, and Montane forests. The name was derived from the local language which goes like this: “Soochi ” meaning” Needle “ and” Para “ meaning” Rock “. So, with the needle-like water drops from the rocks, this name suits this wonderful sight. Then after this visit, head back to the ho9tel, for an overnight stay at the hotel.
On the last day, you ought to spike up your energy with a classic breakfast at the hotel. Then head to the Eadakal caves, a historic location where you get to see fantastic pictorial writings inscribed since 6000 BC ages. After that, enjoy the Karapuzha Dam, known to be the First Irrigation project taken up in Wayanad District. It is set up at 780 m above sea level and nestled partially among submerged hills. This has helped to form green islands that have enabled the breeding and preservation of aquatic birds. By evening, the tourism trip will come to an end. We will be helping you return to Kozhikode so that you can move on with the rest of your travel plans.
